We were down at the weekend visting friends and had the opportunity to look round tge scarecrow trail. No. 1 was absolutely fantastic. Even made their own poppies, brilliant addition.

Great to see all of the creations and a pleasure to be part of both and to experience around the village. A great way to open up conversation around VE day in a way that’s accessible and engaging to all ages.

What a wonderful display! Thank you to all who took the time to make them. Our favourites were: Aycliffe (beautifully made), the Scout Hut (on the old railway line too!), Wisteria Cottage (LOTS of Home Guard members to spot in the beautiful garden), and Doug For Victory (with his own little veg patch and lovely spade). THANK YOU for organising this. We all enjoyed it.
