Celebrating A Decade of Festive Magic: The 10th Annual North Wootton Christmas Fair
It’s hard to believe, but this year marks a very special milestone. The North Wootton Village Hall Christmas Fair returns on Saturday 28th November 2026 for our 10th Anniversary Fair, bringing a decade of festive tradition, community spirit, and seasonal cheer right to the heart of the village.
What started as a modest local gathering has grown into one of West Norfolk’s most cherished winter days out. Whether you’ve visited us every single year or you’re joining us for the first time, we can’t wait to welcome you.
As always, the Fair will open at 10am and run through until 5pm, packed with craft and gift stalls, freshly cut Christmas trees, seasonal food and drink, live entertainment, and the return of our famous real reindeer. We are delighted to welcome the Mayor of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk to officially open our 10th anniversary celebrations.
And, just as it has been for the last ten years, entry to the Fair, the live music, and the reindeer experience remains completely free of charge.
“In my mind, this event is the official ‘start’ of Christmas…”
Earlier this year, we asked our community what the Christmas Fair means to you. Over 100 of you took the time to share your thoughts, memories, and reasons for coming along.
Many of you told us that the Fair is less about shopping and much more about coming together. As one resident put it:
“Missing the Fayre would make the village feel more like just a collection of houses rather than a community. For me, this is the one time of year I’m guaranteed to run into neighbours I haven’t seen in months.”
For others, it’s a family tradition spanning generations:
“My daughter always takes me to see the reindeer, the wonderful singers, and the funny elves. It’s become a lovely little family tradition that brightens up my feelings and helps me feel part of the village.”
We also heard how important it is that the Fair remains free to attend:
“This fair adds a safe space for everyone to come together and enjoy the festive period without the worry of money. It’s the start of Christmas celebrations.”
Knowing how much this day means to local families is what keeps us putting it on year after year.
